On October, 10-11, 2013 the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) will organise a workshop on Sickness Absenteeism and Presenteeism in cooperation with the chair of personnel economics at the University of Trier, Germany. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together international scholars working on sickness absence and presence behaviour and to stimulate research on this theme.

The workshop welcomes contributions on worker absence and presence behaviour, its determinants and consequences, but is also open to wider issues in this context. We welcome theoretical and empirical contributions from economics and business studies and related disciplines.

Deadline for submission of complete papers, or extended abstracts, is July 1, 2013. Preference will be given to complete papers. Please send your contribution as a PDF to Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! Zur Anzeige muss JavaScript eingeschaltet sein! including information on your affiliation, mail address, phone number and email. Authors will be notified no later than July 30, 2013 as to whether their contribution has been accepted for the workshop.

There will be a participation fee of 100 Euro covering organisation, meal and the conference dinner. The IAAEU will attempt to cover accommodation and travel expenses for those participants who do not have sufficient funding.
